So, first there was a phone interview. Then, I had an in-person interview which involved several meetings with different people across the campus and within the specific department. As part of the in-person, I had to give a presentation about my work with a client. I needed to talk about how identity differences played a role, my theoretical approach, the treatment plan, and the outcomes. It took them about two months to let me know their decision.

This hiring process spanned several months, from November to February. It involved a written task, an initial panel interview, and a final in-person interview day that lasted about five hours. For the final stage, candidates had to prepare and give a 20-minute presentation, followed by a Q&A with the search committee. The interviewers were professional and the discussions were meaningful. However, the whole process was very time-consuming for candidates, especially considering the work needed for the presentation and written assignment. The process demanded a lot of preparation and time from candidates. After the final interview, communication was minimal, consisting only of a standard rejection email, and they didn't respond to requests for feedback. Considering the significant effort candidates put in, some feedback would have been nice. Since the office helps students with their job search and builds relationships with employers, you'd expect their hiring process to show the same professional communication and feedback standards. Advice for others: be ready for a long process with a lot of prep for the final interview. It might be useful to ask about timelines and feedback expectations upfront.

The process was organized and quick, along with the work environment being supportive. They ask the general and standard interview questions, along with giving situational examples to see how you would respond.

The interview process was coordinated and thorough. Multiple departmental stakeholders were invited to interview candidates and provide feedback. There were multiple interviews scheduled throughout the day with adequate breaks between each interview. Expectations and responsibilities were communicated.
