First you take a test and they tell you the results immediately. They filter out people they don't like early on. Then you watch a video and answer questions, just remember the basics. After that, you'll be split into groups for a step test, an agility time test, and carrying a 75 lb box back and forth. Then they will interview you. Remember not to lie about any tickets because they can see everything. Many people get caught there. This all happens in one day.

I was interviewed by the Assistant Warden and the Director of Nursing (DON). They explained the Rutan style of interviews and really stuck to it. They were very fair. I could tell when I was saying something they found relevant because they would both start writing down my answers. I watched their reactions and if they stopped writing and relaxed, I knew I should change my approach.

It was a thorough and insightful interview that lasted all morning. A panel of four people conducted it. I had some trouble understanding the salary and benefits. They did give me a chance to ask questions though. Overall, it was a helpful experience.
