Media Planner
It was a pretty standard interview process, except for the extensive Media 101 questions I'd never encountered before. Once I saw who was interviewing me, I knew I wouldn't get the job. The interviewer repeatedly asked if the presentations I'd sent were my own work, which they were, but he clearly didn't believe me, as he asked at least half a dozen times. You know that feeling in an interview when you know they're not going to hire you, but they make you go through pointless hoops? Yeah, it was exactly like that.
- Can you elaborate on the technical names for ads and discuss click-through rates?
Digital Marketing Manager
The interview process was unorganized and confusing, with interviewers being late and unprepared. They asked many questions about my experience and process, but it was unclear what they were looking for. While they complimented my background, they also suggested I lacked the experience for their projects. The hiring manager was rude and uninterested, making it a terrible experience. I would decline any offer due to this glimpse of how bad it would be to work there.
- What unique value or contributions can you offer to the Ignition team?
Social Media Manager
It was a very friendly interview, and the management made it fun and easy to talk to. The key is to be yourself, and the conversation will flow smoothly. While professionalism is expected, it was more casual than I thought it would be. Mostly, it's a chat about your background and whether you have the experience they're looking for; if so, things should go well. The interview included a presentation component.
- Can you tell me about your social media experience and any client work you've done?
Assets Specialist
I had two interviews for this role. First was with the HR Director, then the second was with the Head of Post-Production. Both were pretty chill and casual chats where we talked about skills and what movies I liked.
- Have you worked in post-production before?
