& Process

The interview was pretty relaxed and felt like a conversation. They mostly asked about my experience and why I wanted the job, rather than tough technical stuff. The interviewer was really nice and answered all my questions about what it's like to work here and the company vibe.

Had a phone screen with HR and then the hiring manager. Then, interviews were set up with 5 more people, plus HR and the hiring manager again the following week. They asked a lot about when I could start, but some key interviewers didn't like my experience or answers and their opinions mattered. Their questions didn't match the job description at all. Then, no response or reply to let me know they chose someone else. Really poor form to get ghosted after interviewing!

Had a phone screen to set up a meeting with the CSO. Then, I had a 30-minute Zoom chat with the CSO. It was pretty conversational. The CSO talked about a new facility in Doylestown and said they need someone to set up virology assays for a proof-of-concept study. He mentioned wanting to see my presentation with the CA and PA teams. I haven't heard back even after following up.

I applied online at IGM and had a first Zoom call, about 45 minutes, with the Director. The next week, I had an in-depth technical round with a senior team member in the group to check compatibility with team goals. The following week involved a 1-hour group presentation with the group. Then there were about 10 separate Zoom meetings, each around 45 minutes, with different members of the team and different departments in the company. I also had two rounds with HR. The scheduling wasn't great, and it felt like they didn't respect my time. The new HR person wasn't very knowledgeable about the system, policies, or salary negotiations, and there was poor coordination with management, so I didn't get proper feedback or info. Some meetings felt redundant with the same team members, and others were with unrelated teams, which was a waste of my time. They have big goals and high expectations but didn't bother to give feedback or respect my time. I received an initial offer, but the final offer didn't materialize during negotiations due to a lack of feedback and miscommunication from management.
