First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at IES Communications.
Audio/Visual Technician
The process started with a staffing agency that was well guided by IES regarding their expectations. Next, I met with the IES Management, a panel of 3 individuals. They were all managers who I gained great respect for due to their knowledge and patience. As it's a technical field, I appreciated that they were responsive in utilizing my resume. It showed they really read and understood my experience and asked questions specific to my expertise. The interview lasted about an hour. They comfortably explained their openness to what they felt I did well on, and how the company offers on-the-job training with experts and certification training to expand my abilities.
- Which integration projects did you enjoy the most?
- Can you describe a workplace situation you think you could have handled better?
- What are your aspirations for the future?
Project Manager
The interview process was a good experience with very nice and personable people. There were several callback interviews and an online face-to-face interview that went well. I didn't feel rushed or put on the spot and was able to share all my needs and concerns. Each call involved good back-and-forth conversation with a question and answer session. After the phone calls, there was follow-up via email to confirm any remaining questions.
- How do you feel about the amount of travel required for this role?
Document Control Specialist
I had a phone interview with the recruiter, and then my resume was sent to the hiring manager. But then I never heard back. After a few days, I emailed him twice and still no response. I guess he was just ignoring me. I didn't get any reject letter or status update. He was really nice during the phone interview, but it was super unprofessional how he didn't respond or update me.
- What are your career goals?
Data Center Technician
Had 3 calls, the last one being the main interview. It was over Zoom and mostly involved average questions, discussing salary, and explaining the role. It was pretty straightforward because I was working with the IES recruitment agency.
- What did you like about your previous job, and what brings you here?
- Tell me about your previous role and your motivations for applying.
