First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at IDS.
Research Assistant
The process was quick and efficient. I had an online application, then received a task to complete. Following that, I was invited for an interview with three people. I think it went well overall.
- Can you discuss your previous experience and its influence on your work?
Data Analyst
We had face to face interviews where they checked our analytical and math abilities. They also looked at our Communication skills, and verbal and written skills. There was an Advance Excel practical skill test. Overall, they checked our confidence. This is better for entry level folks to gain corporate skills, but maybe not for experienced ones.
- How would you solve mathematical problems related to profit loss and interests?
- Can you demonstrate your analytical abilities?
- How are your math skills?
Software Engineer
We had challenging coding problems, algorithmic puzzles, and system design discussions. Whiteboard coding and behavioral questions were also part of it, along with collaborative problem-solving in various technical interviews for software engineering roles. Technical assessments covered data structure manipulation, algorithmic thinking, debugging scenarios, real-time problem-solving, and coding challenges. We also had software architecture discussions and evaluated communication skills during tech interviews for diverse IT positions.
- Can you describe your knowledge of web development?
- Do you have experience with React?
- What are your thoughts on coding problems?
Product Manager
The interview process was good and the questions asked were of high quality. It started off well and progressed from basic concepts to medium and complex topics. There were many scenario-based questions, asking how I would handle certain situations, including best-case and worst-case scenarios, and how to motivate team members.
- How to organize a team meeting?
