It was a pretty straightforward interview with two people in Springfield. They were quite nice, and while the questions were challenging, they seemed sincere. The entire process spanned a considerable amount of time, which is pretty typical for government positions.

It's a typical state interview process. They have this set of questions they stick to, and they write down your answers. I guess it's to make things fair, but it really takes the personality out of the interview.

This was a selective interview. They asked me questions about my college education and some scenario questions about what I would do if I were put into a situation that needed to be solved right then and now.

The whole process was done online or over the phone. The first interview was a phone call with a Conservation Education Instructor (CEI). Then, for the second interview, I had a Zoom meeting with a CEI and an HR representative.
