Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at IDFC FIRST Bank.
Credit Manager
First, there was a test with basic questions on banking, CIBIL, and calculations. Then, we had a group case study involving a real scenario. The final round was a one-on-one with my reporting manager, a senior manager, and HR.
- What are the basic details of CIBIL?
- Let's discuss a case study related to banking.
Credit Manager
They just asked about my previous employment experience in detail, covering processes and checkpoints. Also asked why I'm switching and why IDFC, my salary expectations, why banks, how loans are processed, and about basic documents.
- Could you elaborate on your past work experience, specifically regarding processes and checkpoints?
- What motivates your decision to switch jobs?
- What attracts you to IDFC?
Credit Manager
The interview process was pretty smooth, and the difficulty level ranged from easy to moderate. It can differ depending on the specific product you're applying for, like Micro business loans, Home loans, Business loans, or corporate funding. I got selected through a pool campus placement. Most of the questions revolved around financial markets and ratios. My advice is to be patient and focused during the interview. As freshers, they don't expect too much; just having basic knowledge and showing your intent and confidence is enough.
- Tell me about your understanding of financial markets.
- Explain your knowledge of ratios and analysis.
- What is your motivation for joining our company?
