First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at IDFC FIRST Bank.
Data Analyst
It was a really chill interview process. I had about three calls to start, and then the main technical interview. They mentioned that would be the only one before we talked about salary and stuff. The technical part went great, I breezed through the Python and SQL questions. But then, radio silence for over a month even though they said I'd hear back in a week. My follow-ups got no response, and eventually, someone told me they'd put the hiring on hold. Then, a week later, HR sent a message saying they weren't moving forward with my application. Super unclear, and the communication was pretty bad.
- Could you write some basic SQL queries?
Data Analyst
It was a good interview. First, there was an HR interview, then a manager round, and finally a data analytics-focused interview. They asked me questions related to data analytics, Python libraries like Pandas, and PySpark. Some specific questions were about what a DataFrame is and Spark architecture.

Finally, an HR round covered company info, values, banking basics, and general HR questions, with 2 candidates selected for the final offer. This was an on-campus recruitment.
