Inside Sales Representative
I first got contacted on LinkedIn by a recruiter from Identiv who was really informative. I learned a lot about the company, the role, and what they were looking for in a candidate. Then, I met with my potential manager, and she was super clear about her expectations. After that, I met with the department director. By then, I had a solid grasp of the day-to-day tasks, the team vibe, and what my managers and future coworkers expected. It all happened pretty fast, within two weeks I had three interviews with different people, got good feedback, and then a job offer. They were really on top of their communication and follow-ups.
- Can you tell me a bit about yourself?
- Describe your approach to managing stress.

Sales Data Analyst
The recruiting team was super responsive and got things done fast, the whole thing only took a week and it was all online. They were really clear about what they needed and any areas where my experience might not perfectly match. They gave me a chance to see what it's like working with Identiv and the team through a technical exercise, which was a good way to show off my skills and get a feel for the job. The company culture seems awesome, with good benefits that show they care about their people, and everyone was really welcoming and helpful.
- Can you discuss your background, abilities, and future career plans, and how they connect with the job you're applying for?
- How does your experience line up with what we're looking for in this role?
- What are your goals for the future, and how does this position fit into them?
Production Technician
I applied for the job via a recruiter agency. The posting said no experience was needed. The company interviewed me. I asked the interviewer if my skills and experience were a concern for the role, and they didn't say anything about me not being suitable. They just mentioned they had to decide because of other applicants. A week later, the agency recruiter informed me that the company did not shortlist me because my work experience was not relevant for the job. This is frustrating because I thought the job required no experience, and now I'm rejected for lacking relevant experience! It's a waste of my time to be invited for an interview if the company deems me unqualified.
- Would my work experience be sufficient for this role and do my resume skills qualify me for this position?
- I asked the interviewer if my skills and experience were a concern for the role, what did they say?
Software Engineer
I learned about Identiv when someone from HR contacted me on LinkedIn, which I'm happy I replied to. My HR contact was very upfront during the process, and willing to answer any questions I had or find the right person if they didn't know. They clearly communicated what they were looking for in a candidate, from the software department all the way through HR, which is very unusual in tech. The people I interviewed with were nice, honest, and excited, and I felt like the interview process was valuable whether I got the job or not. I've seldom felt like a real person and not just a tool for a company during interviews, but interviewing here definitely made me feel that way.
- Can you explain your understanding of Object-Oriented Programming principles?
- Could you complete a coding exercise live to demonstrate your thought process?
