First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Identity Marketing & Public Relations.
Account Executive
Had a quick 20 min intro call. The head of operations set it up, but I only spoke with the managing partner. We talked a lot about me, both personally and professionally, then they asked specific questions about my past work experience and what I did there. They asked about my background, what I thought I could do for them, and where I'd fit in. It felt more like they were interviewing me for the company in general, not really about the job I applied for. They barely talked about the job posting, and I still don't really know what the job is. No one ever got back to me to say no.
- What are your professional development goals for the next few years?
Account Executive
It started with a 15 minute "Meet and Great" to chat about my background. Then, I met with the company head and two account executives for a meeting where they asked basic social media and PR questions. After that, there was a writing assignment to complete in a few days, followed by a formal job application. The interviews felt super relaxed and low-stress.
- Can you share an instance where you faced a client issue?
Account Executive
I'm not sure how a "meet and greet" interview works for them, but it seems like a waste of time for both parties. They could "get to know you" from a simple phone interview or the initial. I think mine lasted about 8-10 minutes. I thought it went OK, I guess it could have been better. I've been in the search for a new job for awhile and having to do an impression interview made me more self conscious than what I should have been. Hopefully, if a position opens on the future I can come out of my shell a little more. I would suggest if you want to do a meet and greet interview, make it more personal so that the interviewee is comfortable. Save the work questions for the second interview.
- Can you tell me what you know about Identity?
