This is my first time looking for a job in the US, so I haven't had the interview yet. After they select your resume, they send you a case to solve within a week. The case I received was about identifying problems and finding solutions for reducing the therapy drop-out rate in a hypothetical situation in a public hospital (diabetes patients). I really enjoyed it, but it took me a while. I had to do data analysis, but it was relatively simple (obtain p-values).

So after I sent in my resume and cover letter for the first round, I got a case study for the second round which I had a week to finish and send back. They actually took a month to get back to me after I sent it in, which was two weeks later than they said. The third round, which was this interview, was on Skype and lasted an hour. It was split into a 20-minute case interview and then 40 minutes of just regular questions about my past experiences and stuff. I got to choose which part to do first. For the case part, they gave me two businesses and I had to use behavioral economics to figure out why they would make different business choices.
- Could you share an instance where you resolved a problem?
- Using behavioral economics, explain the differing business choices between two given businesses.

I applied online by their deadline, mid-Oct. Then was contacted in December; they gave me a case study that I had one week to complete. Next, I was contacted to have a Skype interview with 2 VPs. They took turns asking behavioral questions (pretty standard), and the interview felt standardized and impersonal (not in a bad way necessarily). They were polite and professional. However, a few days later I called the company to ask for their emails to send a thank you note, and whoever answered the phone was very unprofessional and hostile in response to my inquiry. I did not go on to the second round of interviews.
- Can you share an instance where you devised an innovative solution to a problem?
