First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Ideas That Evoke.
Creative Strategist
My interview with Ideas That Evoke was really short. The hiring manager told me I could be a good fit for two roles and that I'd hear back in three days. It's been way over a month and I still haven't heard anything back, not even a status update. The team was nice during the interview, but the lack of communication after was disappointing and made for a bad candidate experience. Hope they get better at follow-through and timelines.
- Can you discuss your previous work experience?
Account Coordinator
After you submit your application, we'll schedule a phone or zoom screen. If that goes well, we'll have a general interview. Then, there might be a second round meeting with your future team to see if you're a good fit for their client roster.
- How do you interact with and consume social media, and is there a particular brand you'd be excited to work with?
- What brand would you aspire to work with if you had the opportunity, considering your social media usage?
Public Relations Specialist
They first had me do an hour-long skills test on PR and editing, which I guess I passed. Then I had an in-person interview. The interviewer was rude and seemed like she was wasting her time, rushing through questions and not listening. The interview was only 20 minutes. They said they weren't in a hurry to hire anyone, and I never heard back, even after months. I no longer want the job because the lack of communication is unprofessional. It's disappointing to not get any updates after taking the time to interview and complete their test.
- How do you identify as a millennial?
Account Executive
This interview felt too good to be true. The interviewers were nice and knowledgeable, but the company's vibe seemed off. I checked Glassdoor after my interview and saw many negative reviews alongside very positive ones. This made me reconsider, as the "real" reviews seemed concerning. While I might be wrong, it didn't feel like a positive environment. It seems like a place for recent grads, but the pay wasn't great for the listed positions. Employees at their computers looked miserable. They present well online, but the atmosphere doesn't seem positive.
