5 hour interview (no joke) where I was interviewed by every person in the company except the CEO. One by one a person would come in, ask the same questions, and leave. for. five. hours. At the end they make you take a written exam of math problems and SQL queries.

The job application was long, but that's typical for an IT software company. It began with a phone interview, then I spoke with two different managers and completed a Caliper test to assess my personality. After that, there was another phone interview with the Director of Cloud Sales. Finally, I received the job offer.

I had an initial phone interview and then an in-person interview with two people from the marketing team. They seemed really keen on having me join, even complimenting me on bringing my own pen and paper. They asked me to write a press release. After that, they said the interview was successful but I still needed to pass an aptitude test, which was quite long and like a SAT exam. I took the test, but never heard back, and my follow-up attempts were ignored. It was like the interview never happened.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Can you write a press release?
  • The aptitude test was similar to a SAT exam, for example, determining if shapes are similar after one is stretched.

I applied online via LinkedIn and the Sales Director reached out the same day. We exchanged emails for a couple of days, and then I had my first interview with him. I went back for a second interview with the director and also met with the person who would be my manager.
