Business Analyst
It started with a robotic screening from an HR rep asking for basic resume info, then a Wonderlic/values/psychological assessment. After that, two interview rounds. The first round was super exciting, but the second one was awful, with a really negative vibe, like everyone was just having a bad day. They gave curt, one-word answers to my questions and asked abstract/bizarre questions. Afterwards, the hiring manager told me her answers, which were totally different from mine. Big difference between round 1 and 2. I got a robo-rejection really fast, within two hours of round 2, so I didn't have to deal with declining an offer.

Business Analyst
The interview process had some delays. I applied in December and heard back from a recruiter in February. After an initial phone chat, I had a 3-hour interview that included a Wonderlic test and another personality assessment. This interview was split into two parts: first with a VP and the hiring manager, then with an IT manager and an IT Business Analyst. The IT manager didn't show up. My first impression wasn't the best, but I was invited back for another round with the hiring manager and IT director, which went much better. I got a verbal offer contingent on a background check. I didn't think to mention my previous bankruptcy, but it turned out that a bankruptcy disqualifies candidates. I disclosed it because of mounting medical bills from cancer and an accident with an uninsured driver. I couldn't get an offer despite being qualified.
- The IT Director posed a problem-solving question where I had to determine the heavier of 9 identical bowling balls using a balance scale.
Business Analyst
The interview process for the Business Analyst role included a phone screening, followed by two more interviews. It was a pretty straightforward process: Recruiter, Manager, then VP. For the business analyst position, I had to create a visio to illustrate a process map of the current state.
- Can you tell me a little about yourself?
- In your opinion, how could a specific process be improved?
