First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Icrave Design.
Interior Designer
I applied via email and got a response in about a week. After the interview, management got back to me right away. The interview was pretty basic and straightforward. They asked me about my work and looked at my portfolio.
- What are your strengths or your superpower?
- Could you tell me about the projects you've worked on?
Designer
I had an interview with a director who wasn't supposed to interview me because the scheduled person had a conflict. It started with my portfolio presentation. The director was disrespectful, throwing my portfolio on the table. After the interview, he left without saying goodbye and talked to other people like I wasn't even there. I didn't get the job, but honestly, it's probably for the best considering how unprofessional the interviewer was.
- What are your motivations for seeking employment with our company?
Creative Strategist
The interview started on ZOOM, but the interviewers didn't even know my name, and their names were visible in the boxes. During the call, they raised their voices at me, weren't paying attention, and were texting on their phones. I could see half of their faces and half their phones. They were extremely rude, strategically difficult, schemy, and condescending.
- What is your name?
- Why are you showing me this?
Interior Designer
Very anti-technology and Revit. The interviewer said, "the best idea wins at this firm" which means "what upper management wants goes and the most "popular" in the office will succeed, not the truly best idea.
- Can you describe your creative process?
