Behavioral Technical Case Presentation

The recruiter was great and easy to work with, setting up calls with the manager and VP quickly. The initial calls focused on background, skills, and interest in the role. I got a call back the next day for an in-person interview. This was a 3-hour session with the manager, VP, and three team leads. They gave me some homework, including client scenarios to work through and a campaign to review. The interview itself was mainly based on my responses to those scenarios and my personality. It seemed like they really care about their work culture and wanted to ensure my personality and problem-solving approach would fit in. I'd suggest asking about culture and personality during the initial calls to understand what they're looking for. I got the offer a day after the interview.

Applied online and HR reached out a few days later. We had a quick phone chat, then she set up a call with the hiring manager. He missed the first meeting, and we had to reschedule. He missed the second one too! We finally connected on the 3rd try. A bit later, I was asked to come in for an in-person interview at the office. Nobody seemed ready for me, and it was messy trying to figure out who I'd be meeting. Still, I liked everyone I met, the job felt right, and I was hopeful. Sadly, it didn't pan out, but a few weeks went by, and the hiring manager reached out on LinkedIn about a new opening. I jumped at the chance to interview again, giving my availability right away and then… waiting. A few days later, I followed up to see if they were still interested. The hiring manager responded quickly, saying HR would contact me soon. I never heard back.

The interview process was interesting. I met with two managers and then interviewed with the team. Some think meeting the team gives good insight, but most of them were new hires from the last 6 months and didn't think I would make it. The managers liked me and offered me the job within an hour, but the team's opinion meant the offer didn't stand. I disagree with the managers' view that their 'experienced' team members had more insight than they did. The recruiter was nice and couldn't believe the team didn't like me.

I applied online through my college and then had two phone interviews. The first was with the hiring manager and the second was with the VP of Marketing. Then, I came into the office for three rounds of short interviews with employees. I interviewed again with the VP of Marketing, an HR person, and another employee. All were nice, but the VP of Marketing was harsh and condescending.
