Project Manager
Had an initial phone call with HR, followed by a quick online test. Then, there was a short 25-minute interview which involved some online games, like those typically used by major consulting firms, but I can't recall the specifics.
- Tell me about a time when project timelines were not met.
Project Manager
The interview process was generally fine. The interview itself was professional and the appropriate questions for the role were asked. Where the issue arose was after the interview when I was ghosted by the talent acquisition team. Extremely unprofessional and disappointing. I will avoid applying for jobs here in the future and hope no one else has this same experience.
- Can you share an instance where you had to communicate unfavorable news to a partner or sponsor?
Project Manager
I was first contacted by a recruiter for the job. The recruiter was nice and easy to talk to. I was really interested in the role because of the therapeutic area, the study locations, international travel, and the remote aspect. It took two weeks to get a phone interview scheduled. I followed up with the recruiter again before it was set up. I spoke with the hiring Director. I learned during the phone interview that I'd be assigned to projects as needed, not necessarily the specific one I thought I was applying for. Having interviewed people before, most questions don't throw me, and I felt my answers showed my skills, abilities, and interest. I asked about the next steps, and the director said selected candidates would have a second phone interview with another director, then possibly a face-to-face with both directors. Then the final candidate would be chosen. I asked about a timeline, but they didn't know.
- How is being a PM in pharma different from being a PM at a CRO, and why are you the best fit for this role given those differences?
