Stem Instructor
The interview process was pretty chill and easy. They hit you with questions about communication, your mindset, and if you align with teaching and the company's values. Like they asked 'tell me about yourself,' 'why this role,' or 'how you’d handle classroom management.'
- What's your approach if a child finds the material too easy or too difficult?
- Perform a simple coding exercise live or in front of the interviewer.
Intern
First, they asked me some questions about my resume and my availability. Then, we talked about how I'd deal with different teaching scenarios, like if a student found the material too easy, too hard, or was disruptive. After that, I was asked about the coding languages I know. The interviewer then gave me a slideshow in my best coding language to study for about 20-30 minutes, and I had to present it like I was teaching a class. Finally, I had to do a coding task they gave me, which wasn't too difficult, to show my skills.
- What would you do if a student found the material too easy?
- What would you do if a student found the material too difficult?
- How would you manage disruptions from a student?
Lead Instructor
The interview process was fine, Functionally they did what they should have done. Buuuut I asked for a week to give my current employer time to replace me and proceeded to spend two weeks waiting on them to get back to me only to then lowball offer $14.50 when I already make $14 at my current job and had communicated that me moving companies was dependent on their ability to offer competitive pay, Considering to get my degree I spent thousands of dollars, I expect positions that require specialized skills to pay like it. If I wanted $14/hr I would work at McDonalds.
- Do you know languages such as Java and C++?
Inside Sales Representative
First, I talked to the Center manager. Then, I met with the Owner. It was a total waste of time and the owner was super disrespectful. He even tried to cut the initial pay offer because he thought I didn't have enough experience, even though they reached out to me based on my experience. I wouldn't recommend it! Some of these franchise owners are just not right.
- Typical interview questions.
- The owner will attempt to undermine your experience.
