Started with a one-way video screening, then had some great interviews with team members. They let me know I wasn't the best fit for the role I applied for, but they had another position they thought I'd be perfect for. I then spoke with the head of that department, and it was a fantastic chat that ran over time. It sounded like they were going to extend an offer, but then I got ghosted even after I followed up multiple times.

I put in my application online through LinkedIn. They reached out first via email, asking me to do a one-way video interview. After that, I got an email to set up a virtual chat with the hiring manager and a higher-up manager. Then, there was another virtual interview, but this time it was with a group of people from the finance team. The final step was an in-person meeting with the CFO.

I applied online after seeing the position posted on devex. Two weeks later I was contacted by a recruiter for a screening interview. After that first interview, I spoke with a Program Manager and the Director. After the second interview, I was asked to complete an ICMA employment application and a USAID contractor form. The offer came 2 weeks later and was conditional on reference checks.

The first round was pretty standard. They mainly talked about what the job is and asked about my hard skills, organizational skills, and flexibility. If they seemed to like me, they'd throw in some bonus questions, and the vibe would get pretty casual. For example, he asked about an accomplishment or challenge that influenced my ability to be a good fit for the team.
