First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at iClassPro.
Senior iOS Developer
My interview experience with iClassPro was overall negative and poorly communicated. The first round was with HR and was very standard. I was asked to introduce myself and walk through my previous work experience. There were no challenging questions. Candidates should simply be prepared to talk about their resume. The rest of the interview process was conducted virtually and consisted of multiple steps. The first step was a personality type test focused on describing who you are. I was asked to select rows and columns containing specific personality related words. I found this step unnecessary and not particularly meaningful. For the technical assessment, I was required to install a browser extension that recorded my screen, took screenshots, and logged keystrokes during the test. Before starting, I also had to record a video of myself answering a question about what makes me unique as an iOS developer. The technical test itself included approximately ten multiple choice questions related to React Native, around ten multiple choice questions focused on native iOS topics such as whether certain code would compile, associated types, generics, and memory management issues like weak and strong references. It concluded with a single algorithm question, specifically the LeetCode Sliding Window Maximum problem. Overall, the experience felt overly rigid and impersonal, driven more by a predefined process than by meaningful evaluation or communication. The lack of flexibility and human interaction left a negative impression.
- A technical assessment that included multiple choice questions on iOS fundamentals and a single algorithm problem (LeetCode Sliding Window Maximum).
Senior Software Engineer
The hiring process was pretty smooth and everyone was nice. I first chatted with the hiring manager, then did a timed skills test that was recorded. After that, I had a final video interview with some of the team. The technical parts felt relevant and fair for a senior PHP/Laravel job. I was upfront about my salary expectations, but the offer was way lower than I discussed and also below market rate. So, while the interviews themselves were professional, the big difference in the offer after being open about pay was a concern. It made me wonder if they really understand the value of experienced engineers.
- Can you describe a technical challenge from your past experience and how you resolved it?
Human Resources
The hiring process was comfortable and the team was nice. They asked good and fair questions. I felt the overall process was nice and the company would be a good place to work.
- Can you share your experience in HR?
Enterprise Accounts Manager
Pretty standard interview process. I first spoke with their recruiter. Then I interviewed with a Director. Finally, I met with the manager who would be my direct supervisor. The biggest red flag was that the online job posting advertised the position as remote, but during the interviews, everyone except the recruiter seemed surprised by the idea of me working remotely (I'm states away). They mentioned a possible hybrid arrangement but emphasized their preference for someone in the office. Ironically, neither of the people I interviewed with actually worked in that office, as they were both remote themselves. Another oddity was when the director mentioned it's a "faith-based" company, which struck me as strange since their product isn't religious. I felt like they were probing my religious beliefs indirectly. I managed to steer the conversation away from that. After each interview, I sent thank-you emails and was told they'd respond within 2-3 days. I didn't follow up because I was already unsure if it was a good fit. I was completely ghosted and only remembered the job about three weeks later when I got a generic email saying I didn't get the position.
- Can you describe your professional history?
