First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Ice Miller.
Associate
It was a really chill process. Mostly just chatted about personality and my work history. No curveballs, super conversational overall, although a few people were a bit tough to connect with. I found myself having to lead the discussions a lot.
- Can you tell me what you didn't like about your previous job?
Manager
The interview process was fast and smooth. It started with two initial interviews conducted via email, followed by two phone calls. Then, there was a final in-person interview with the team. The offer letter was sent within a few days, and the transition into the position was normal.
- Do you have experience working in the legal industry?
Administrative Assistant
The interview was extensive and thorough. They seemed more interested in discussing their own experiences rather than learning about my qualifications. It would be beneficial if they were more transparent about the specific challenges associated with each role. They should focus on identifying candidates who are keen to learn.
- Could you please state your name?
Intern
Recruiting was handled through my school. I got selected for the first round of on-campus interviews, where I spoke with 2 partners. It was a really thought-provoking interview. Make sure you're ready to talk about specific examples of the attributes mentioned on your resume.
- Tell me about a time you were struggling to achieve a goal but eventually succeeded, and what you did to change the situation.
