First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at ICAST.
Staff Accountant
The interview process wasn't very clear - I was interviewed by a third party, and I didn't find out until we were already on the phone. It felt more like an interrogation than an interview, with no questions about the company culture. They asked things that could have been easily found by just looking closely at my resume.
- Could you describe your experience with construction accounting?
- Do you have any experience using Sage Intact?
- Have you had any experience with nonprofit accounting?
Management
So far 3 interviews total. HR then with the COO and lastly with the CEO Ravi. All interviews were a great experience and I did not experience anything described in all the negative reviews. The interview with Ravi was great and I believe it went very well. I think that both Ravi and Mark asked great questions in their interviews that I have not been asked before which was great. Also to the comments that say they were clearly busy during the interview clearly have never interviewed with executive level people before as they will always be multitasking so you shouldn't go on long winded answers as that is where i feel people fall short in interviews.
- Tell me about a time when you...
- How would you handle this specific scenario?
Sales Manager
The interview process included 3 phone interviews lasting 45 minutes, followed by a 1.5-hour in-person interview with two separate people. Then there were 2 additional phone interviews with members of the Sr. Sales team, also lasting 1.5 hours. In total, there were 7 separate interviews which took about 6 hours including travel. Unfortunately, there was no feedback or communication after the final interview. I was lucky to get an offer from another company during this time, but candidates deserve better from the companies they interview with. ICAST should improve.
- Could you describe a nightmare scenario concerning how you would not want to be managed?
Communications Assistant
Applied online for a different role, but they reached out months later about a new opening. The first interview with the hiring manager went great. However, the second interview with the CEO was really bad. He seemed disinterested and like I was wasting his time, repeatedly saying my answers weren't informative. I never heard back, which was almost a relief given how poorly that last interview went.
- Could you tell me about other job opportunities you are pursuing?
