Client Experience Manager
I applied to a job on Indeed and the recruiter told me the role reports indirectly to the VP. I was told I'd hear back in two weeks about meeting the VP or Sr VP. I met with the VP two weeks later, who admitted she hadn't seen my resume. She clarified that the role reports to one of her managers, not her. The next week, I met with the Sr VP, who confirmed the reporting structure again. I had some concerns due to Glassdoor reviews and the unclear reporting line, but I advanced to meet the CVC Operating Partner for the final interview. He mentioned they wanted to move fast. This person was only involved in phone screens, which was confusing since this was my fourth interview after a month. It made me wonder about the company's trust in its leadership. After a few days, I followed up with the recruiter about a decision. They responded that the timeline was uncertain as candidates were being considered on a rolling basis, which I interpreted as them liking me but waiting for a better candidate. I brought up the fast timeline mentioned earlier. Many red flags.
- Can you share an experience of handling a challenging customer?
- Describe a situation where you had to work with inaccurate data.
IT Manager
Had a 30-minute call with the hiring manager. They seemed preoccupied and didn't share much about the company or role unless I asked. The questions felt robotic and repeated. The hiring manager did offer for me to contact them with more questions later. I followed up a week later as suggested, but got no response. After following up again with HR the next week, I finally got a canned response. Overall, it was short and not great, especially for a management position.
- Can you describe what 'x' looked like?
- Can you describe what 'y' looked like?
- Can you describe what 'z' looked like?
Human Resources
The process started with a phone interview. They asked normal questions to screen myself and the positive. Shortly after the phone interview I was contacted to schedule a virtual interview. They were all well organized, clearly communicated everything, and timely.
- What are your strengths?
Product Owner
The interview process had a few steps before the offer, but they were all pretty simple. First, a 15-minute phone screen. Second, a 30-minute chat with the manager. Third, a 3-hour interview with different teams, split into 30-minute sessions.
