Behavioral Technical Group

I had a brief 10-15 minute phone chat with the Director about the job basics. Then I had an in-person interview with the Director and another therapist. We talked about my experience with various patient groups, my treatment methods, and a lot about how I work with others and sort out disagreements. It sounded like teamwork is a really big deal for this role.

They got back to me pretty fast after I applied and had a bunch of openings for interviews the same week. The whole interview thing was easy, and the person interviewing me was cool and easy to talk to. Plus, there's free parking onsite and the clinic is pretty big.

First there was a virtual meeting, and then I had an onsite interview. The person I met onsite didn't seem to know what they were doing, which gave me a very low impression of their clinical skills. The questions they asked were very superficial and mostly not clinical.

It was a phone meeting since it was COVID, and it lasted about 30 minutes. We interviewed in the morning and I got an offer in the afternoon. I talked about myself and my past experience with kids with disabilities. The recruiter also asked some easy questions like why I'm in this field, why I chose ICAN, and what age group of kids I like working with.
