Business Development Manager
standard interview process Phone screening (30 min), interview (30 min) about your background and then a final round (on-site 90 min)interview with upper management to talk more about the role and cultural fit
- Can you introduce yourself?
- Could you share some key performance indicators (KPIs) from your current position?
Business Development Manager
The phone interviews felt more like managers trying to sell the role. The in-person interview made it clear they're looking for team managers. They have a 4-level plan for you, whether you like it or not. There's not much communication between employees, and there's a culture of employees telling their bosses information so they can tell their bosses. The product is complicated and for niche customers. The BDM role itself is just a one-time sale.
- What makes you consider changing companies?
Business Development Manager
there were 2 interviews for this role. The first was with HR, and the second was with two managers. It was a pretty easy and quick process overall. They focused heavily on questions about consultative sales and your general sales approach. They also asked a lot of behavioral questions related to your previous experience. Having many stories about your past sales successes would be beneficial.
- Could you try to sell me this iPhone?
