First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at IAVI.
Program Manager
So, first there was this pre-recorded video thing where I had to answer questions about project management, which was kinda technical. After that, I had a panel interview with some folks I might end up working with. And the last step was the final HR process. It felt like it took a while, but the team seemed great.
- Can you introduce yourself and explain how you would be most beneficial to our teams?
- Tell me about yourself and how you can best contribute to the teams.
Administrative Assistant
I had three interviews in total. My first interview was a phone call with two of my potential supervisors. It felt more like a conversation, and I think it went well. Then, I had a second interview via Skype with a VP who works remotely. The last interview was with the in-house VP I would be assisting. All of these interviews were very conversational and friendly. After all the interviews were done, HR reached out to me, and I signed my offer letter electronically.
- What are your goals with this company?
- Can you share an instance where you encountered a challenge at work and how you handled it?
Associate
It was a drawn-out process, similar to other reviews. I went through two initial interviews, then a three-hour written test, followed by an in-person interview. The whole thing took a couple of months to get a decision.
- How do you keep yourself organized?
- Tell me about your approach to behavioral questions.
- What are your thoughts on situational questions?
Research Consultant
It was a structured interview. We started with intros, then they asked me about my background, technical skills, and past projects. The panel wanted to know about my problem-solving, communication, and teamwork. At the end, I got to ask questions and they told me what happens next.
- Can you introduce yourself and share relevant experiences for this position?
