Director of Event Strategy
I went through three interview rounds in about a month. It started with a virtual chat with HR. Then, a super quick 15-minute virtual meeting with the hiring manager. The last round was an in-person presentation. They gave me an assessment exercise where I had to create a pitch deck, and then I presented it for an hour to the hiring manager and another senior leader. After all that, they ghosted me, not even telling me I didn't get the job. I sent a thank-you email the week of the interview and followed up two weeks later with both the hiring manager and the senior leader I presented to, but never heard back.

Registration Manager
The registration process was pretty good. I got feedback quickly from the recruiter after each step. There were 3 rounds total: first a phone screen, then a chat with my potential manager, and finally a meeting with someone I would work with daily. I didn't get an offer, but it was a good experience overall.
- How do you handle juggling many tasks simultaneously?
Communications Executive
I applied for the job on LinkedIn and heard back about a week later from the person in charge of hiring. I then had a video interview with two people from the team, which I didn't know beforehand. They were nice and talked about their jobs. The interview was 45 minutes long, and they said they'd let me know about the next steps. It's been 4 weeks with no word, and to make things worse, the same job was just posted again on LinkedIn.
- What motivated you to apply for this position, and have you previously held a comparable role?
- Can you describe your experience in similar roles?
Account Development Director
The interview started off okay, the first couple of rounds were with a recruiter and a VP, and it seemed pretty prompt. But then it went downhill. The third round was an 'Assessment' that was super unclear about what they wanted, almost like a test with no right answer. What really put me off was the radio silence afterward from Hyve for like 2 weeks. I had to chase the recruiter twice for updates. It felt super unprofessional to fly into NYC for this informal 'Assessment' and then get ghosted. I get not getting the job, but at least have the decency to debrief me on my performance and why they chose someone else.
