They're a little rude and forceful, but all interviews just flow and they ask me what I can do for the company. It was a little tiring to answer the same questions over and over. After the interview, they asked if I had any questions or wanted to say anything.

The recruiter clearly explained the job, what was expected of me, and what I could expect from the job and the company. She communicated very openly, and not only asked about my professional skills but also checked if I would fit in with my future team. I was always addressed in a very friendly way, both on the phone and in person. The recruiter maintained a professional approach. This, along with the overall cordiality, immediately convinced me to start a career at Hyundai Construction Equipment. It's been one of my best decisions so far!

Behavioral Technical Presentation

The interview process was pretty standard and professional. I was contacted by the internal recruiter on LinkedIn, and after scheduling a couple of interviews, I signed the contract about 3 months later. The recruiting began during the summer vacation period, which is usually slow, so I think it moved pretty quickly. The contacts were always responsive, usually getting back within a few hours if I asked for an update. The interviews were also fairly typical, including usual questions about personality and career goals, plus a 1:1 technical interview with the potential supervisor. Sometimes, if the interviewer was Korean, their English was a bit hard to understand, but that was the only minor issue. During the 1:1, you need to give a 10-15 minute PowerPoint presentation on a work-related topic you choose from a flexible list. It's best to pick something interesting and put in minimal effort for it to go well. Overall, I'm very happy with the process; there weren't excessive interviews, no tricky technical questions, mostly just questions about career aspirations, your background and experience, and the technical areas you're interested in working on.

So after applying, there was an IQ test which was like puzzles and riddles, and lots of people failed it. Then we had to do a TOEIC speaking test. Honestly, I don't get why because we never used English at work. A lot failed this too. Finally, the few who passed did a group interview with the top execs, including the CEO. It was more of a personality check, but the formal Asian etiquette and hierarchy made it really tense. It's funny because IT support doesn't even need IT skills, and the IQ/TOEIC tests felt like a waste. They didn't even test our actual job skills. I got the offer, but I'm still puzzled about their hiring process. The interviewers were conservative and asked about political views, and if you disagreed, you were out. It felt very military and not diverse at all.
