First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Hyundai Construction Equipment.
Intern
The first part of the interview was online, and the second part was in-person with the area manager. In both interviews, they make you feel very comfortable to express yourself. Direct professional questions and some personal ones too, but nothing indiscreet or invasive.
- What is your hobby?
Marketing
I had an unexpected first phone interview, no prior notice or scheduled time. Honestly, it felt unprofessional and inconsiderate. Since I was still employed, taking a call during work hours wasn't ideal. It seemed like they were just going through a checklist to quickly disqualify candidates. I could have rescheduled, but it just made me less invested in the process and unlikely to expect another call.
- Can you tell me why you're looking to make a career change?
- What attracts you to our company?
- What are your salary expectations?
Sales Coordinator
I applied for the position and was able to schedule an interview for the very next day. The process was very quick and the people were really nice. The interviewer was great and I was even given a job offer on the same day as the interview.
- Can you tell me about your past job experience?
- What relevant skills do you have for this role?
- What are your salary expectations?
Marketing Assistant Manager
I was contacted by a recruiter. Had a phone interview, then a primary interview with the recruiter, and then a panel interview with three people. I was told I was one of three final candidates. Everyone was respectful and professional, and I felt good energy. They said they'd follow up but NEVER did. I waited and waited with no communication. I understand they need to pick the best, and for some reason, I wasn't it. But as a final candidate, they should have had the decency to follow up and thank me for my time. It was very unfortunate my experience with this company, though things happen for a reason.
