So for the Fairview Oregon location, the interview process was pretty good. It started with a short video screening, about 15 minutes long. If that went well, the next step was a full day of on-site interviews. This involved three interviews back-to-back, each lasting around 45 minutes. I was by myself for all of them, facing a panel of employees. The first interview was a bit shorter and with HR, mainly to see if I'd be a good culture fit. The next two interviews were technical – they can differ based on the specific role, but for me, one was a software interview and the other was mechanical. They didn't ask me to do any whiteboard problems, just asked questions that I answered verbally. After finishing the interviews, they showed me around the facilities. Everyone I met was nice, polite, and respectful, and they really made an effort to keep the whole process from being too stressful.

The process was not professional. It took a long time to get back to me. The interviewer wasn't enthusiastic or friendly, which felt like a red flag. In contrast, I've had interviewers at other companies keep me updated at every stage.

I liked that they interviewed me from the top down. I first met the decision maker virtually. Then, I went to the plant and interviewed with team managers back-to-back. It was way better than a panel interview. I got a cool plant tour. Later, I did a skills assessment. Most of it was random, but 25% of it was actually relevant to the job.

I had an in-person interview with about four supervisors. They asked a bunch of questions to gauge how I think and manage things. I explained how I'd tackle issues if I knew the solution and how I'd find the right way forward if I didn't. They also asked for a lot of examples from my past experience that connect to their work.
