Desktop Support Specialist
I sent in my resume and then got an invite for a Teams call for an HR screening. After that, I had another interview with the IT management team. We talked about my IT experience and they asked some technical questions. At the end, they asked me to come in for a panel interview with the IT team, which included three managers and one technician. They were all on Teams, coordinating questions. The interview involved scenarios and technical questions and lasted about half an hour.
- Can you explain what a private network IP address is?
- What is the subnet mask associated with a private network IP address?
Sales Manager
The interview process was really thorough, clear, and I enjoyed it. They didn't ask those weird, formulaic questions like 'tell me about a time you...' Instead, we had a good talk about my experience, skills, and career goals. They were also upfront about the tougher parts of the job, which I think is smart. Knowing the challenges beforehand really shows if a candidate is serious about the role and the company.
- Can you describe your current daily routine and how you manage your time?
- How do you approach prioritizing your workload?
- What would your ideal daily schedule look like in this position, alongside your goals?
Industrial Hygienist
It was difficult, with many trick questions. They followed the protocol strictly. They asked about the three pillars of your skills, your weak points, your motivation, a 3-minute presentation, and a language test, especially English which is commonly used in this company. There were also questions about your computer skills.
- How did you find our company?
- What are your main motivations?
- What are the three pillars of your skills?
Software Engineer
I applied via the website and got a call from the manager. I proceeded to the next step. The manager seemed a bit harsh and made an assumption about me not speaking English. While I felt it was okay, I couldn't really get past what the manager was asking. The compensation offered was also quite low, which led me to decide not to continue with the process.
- Can you describe the question that you felt wasn't great?
- How did you manage to answer the question even though you found it lacking?
