Marketing
It was a simple, nice process. The team was good, and it felt like a conversation getting to know each other, which I enjoyed. The atmosphere was good. Remote working made things easy. For the final interview, which I think was round 2 or 3, I had to make a presentation on what I would change or bring to the marketing team.

Recruitment Consultant
It was a casual conversation about my background, my grasp of the company and the industry. They were really interested in my past sales performance and how I hit my numbers. They didn't focus much on teamwork, but were more interested in my willingness to work extra hours to meet goals.

Associate Consultant
It was a three-stage interview process. First, I met with the Hiring Manager. They were very approachable and made me feel comfortable. They were honest about my strengths and weaknesses, offering advice for improvement. They seemed interested in my future potential and presentation, suggesting I research areas they thought I'd be a good fit for. This meeting lasted about 20-30 minutes. Next, I met with the Director or Head of Department for the team I might join. These Directors were also friendly, but more thorough, asking detailed questions about my past work experiences, including specific dates, times, and situations. The goal was to assess my credibility and suitability for their department. The Hiring Manager helpfully scheduled all these interviews for a single afternoon, allowing me to complete four interviews with different directors from separate teams. Each interview was about 45-60 minutes long. The third stage involved either a role-play or a work sample with a Director or Head of Department. For the work sample, I had a casual chat with a department supervisor, then shadowed a recruiter on some calls. Afterwards, I had to call 15 candidates about an open role, testing my phone etiquette, questioning skills, and ability to quickly learn and adapt my communication to gather information. The role-play with the Director was more intense but enjoyable. I was given two candidate CVs to review for 15 minutes. The interviewer then acted as the candidate, and I had to ask questions to get more information. After interviewing both 'candidates,' the interviewer switched roles, and I had to act as one of the candidates, receiving an example of a successful interview. This was inspiring and provided valuable insights. Finally, I had a casual chat with a junior team member to ask informal questions about the office environment, benefits, etc. This overall transparency and honesty throughout the process was a major factor in my decision to proceed.

Role
Hydrogen Group was super communicative and helpful at first. They spent a good amount of time getting to know me to find the right job. I talked with my Hydrogen contact a lot, and we even had a face-to-face interview at a company. But after that face-to-face, it was radio silence. No feedback at all, not even bad news. It felt like if Hydrogen couldn't make money off me, they didn't care. My opinion of Hydrogen went way down. I ended up taking a job somewhere else where I'm the one hiring now. Not a smart move, Hydrogen.
