First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Hydro Systems.
Corporate Communications Specialist
I put in my application online and then about three weeks later an HR person emailed me to set up a phone interview for the next week. During the phone interview she told me about the company and asked me some standard questions. She mentioned they wanted to hire someone within a month. It seemed to go well, and she asked if I was available for an on-site interview with some executives the following week. I gave her my availability and sent a thank you email. A week went by and I didn't hear anything, so I emailed the HR person again but didn't hear back. It's now been over a month and a half since the interview, which is plenty of time for them to have picked someone and for that person to have started their new job. I still haven't heard anything from Hydro Systems, not even an email back or a rejection. It was unprofessional and made me feel negatively about the company. I should have spent my time looking at other jobs.

I was called in for a face-to-face interview and got the job. I started a couple of weeks later. I interviewed with another college student who also got hired, and we ended up working together. The questions were pretty straightforward and easy, and the interviewer was very nice.
- Can you tell me about your previous work experience?
Operator
It was a long and overly detailed interview process. I'm not sure about diversity here, maybe being white helps? First, there was a phone interview, then a 1-on-1 with the same person, and finally a really extensive test. Honestly, I doubt some of the people working here could pass it!
- Can you work Saturdays and overtime?

The application process online is pretty involved, with an IQ test. The interview itself, though, is super straightforward. Honestly, it felt like if they invited me in, they were already set on hiring me. They asked some really basic questions about my past work experience, told me about the company's history, and gave me a plant tour. I got the job offer before I even left.
- Tell me about your previous job responsibilities.
