Lab Technician
I got a call from the recruiter to set up an interview. Then I talked to the lab manager about my background and past lab work.
- Can you describe a past project where things didn't go as planned?
- Tell me about your familiarity with different lab processes.
- What are your current responsibilities in your role?
Engineer
It was a really quick process. I had two 30-minute phone calls, one of which was on Zoom and was technical. They did run a bit late for the technical interview though, which was a bit strange.
- Do you have any thoughts regarding travel?
Engineer
The interview process began with a brief 15-minute phone screen with a regional manager from North Carolina. This was followed by a more in-depth phone interview, lasting over an hour, with the hiring regional manager based in Boston, MA. Both conversations were positive and provided insight into the company's transparent and good culture. The next step was an onsite panel interview at the Boston site. This panel included the Regional Manager, an Engineering Subject Matter Expert (SME), and the site's Business Development Director (BD). The interview focused on my interpersonal skills and how I handle adversity, alongside my technical capabilities and experience working within the FDA regulatory environment, adhering to ICH/ISPE/FDA/EU guidelines.
- Can you share an instance where you effectively utilized available resources to overcome both technical challenges and interpersonal issues?
- Tell me about a time your initial proposal was met with resistance, and how you used your interpersonal skills to gain acceptance and implement your idea.
Consultant
The interview was very technical, focusing on process and cleaning validation. I was really impressed with the interview process. They were detailed on current industry practices and FDA guidelines. The overall interview was about 30 to 45 minutes.
- Can you describe your overall experience in validation?
