It was a really straightforward interview process, and everything was done over the phone and email. There were three main parts: first, a quick call with the recruiter, then a phone interview with the hiring manager, and finally another phone interview with the site task lead. No typical interview questions were asked.

They only asked me a few questions, and I think they just read my resume. They told me they were hiring me for a configuration management job, but once I was hired, they put me in a completely different role in tech publishing. If they had actually read my resume, they would have known that I have experience in configuration management. The job they hired me for involved software and hardware, and I had no prior experience with either on my resume. They also didn't mention that I'd receive no training.

Applied on a Friday, heard back the next Tuesday, and interviewed the Wednesday after that. Got the offer the following Tuesday, so it was 11 days total from applying to getting the offer, and that included two weekends. HR was quick to respond and I got to chat with a program manager about my questions. I can't say enough good things about how fast and professional HX5 was through the whole interview and hiring thing. So many places make you feel like just a number, but I felt like they really valued me from the start.

I was excited to have a phone interview. The recruiter said the PM reviewed my resume and wanted them to call me. It seemed like I was a strong candidate. The recruiter said they were looking to hire in the next two weeks. Four weeks later, I still haven't heard back. I left a voicemail and sent an email, but got no response. It was disappointing because I was excited about the opportunity to work at Marshall contributing to the ISS.
