Client Liaison
So there were four rounds in total, counting the initial phone screen. The recruiter from H&B was really nice and knew her stuff. I actually applied for something else at first, but she thought I'd be a better fit for this role, and I'm really glad she did.
- How do you manage relationships with your superiors?
Payroll Specialist
Had three interviews on Teams. First one was with the Hiring Manager, then I met with some people who would be my teammates, and the last one was with two Partners. After the first interview, I had to complete an evaluation questionnaire that included questions about emotional intelligence and basic bookkeeping.
- Tell me about your best achievement in your previous role.
- Describe your lowest point in your previous role.
Audit Associate
The initial interview was a phone screen, and after a few days, I had a second interview with an audit partner over Zoom. I haven't received any feedback since then. They didn't ask many questions.
- Just some basic behavioral questions were asked.
Tax Associate
I applied and a partner called me the same day for a screening. After that, I had to do an accounting assessment. Then, a Supervisor and Director interviewed me together. Finally, two partners interviewed me. A partner called about an hour after the last interview to extend an offer. Everyone was really nice and even though it was formal, the talks felt casual, which was good. My advice is to relax, be yourself, be honest and detailed. Ask questions about the firm to show interest.
- Tell me about yourself.
- We went over my resume in detail/work experience. I was asked to rate my last 2 employers (from 1-10) and also asked how my supervisors would rate me.
- What would your supervisors say your best quality is.
