It was a really fast and easy process. My current supervisor conducted the interview, and communication was clear. It was a one-on-one, lasting less than 20 minutes. She explained the next steps: a drug test, a few days of training, and then some time on the road with a Field Training Officer (FTO) before I could work with a partner.

You apply online or call HR, then you're asked to come in and take an old NYC EMT test from the late 90's to early 2000's. If you pass, you get hired. If you fail, you can go home to study and try again later.
