The overall interview process was good, but it seems like the role would be for one person wearing way too many hats. The person is responsible for pretty much everything digital marketing related AND sales / follow up for recruiting. Be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment.

The company I applied to was very thorough in their questioning. Mostly, the conversation revolved around the technical aspects of the role. There were multiple rounds, and the Humanedge recruiter was involved throughout the entire process, helping to bridge any gaps.

The job was described by an agency as a Director role with ownership to build a new business line, including good base pay, team production commission, team override, equity, and personalized commission. However, the offer did not reflect this. The process included a phone screen with a recruiting agency, several discussions with the CEO (Paul Schwabe), phone interviews with staff, and a strategy/planning session with the CEO. My strategic questions about diversity recruiting, pandemic response, P&L, and revenue forecasts were ignored by both the CEO and recruiter. I continued because building the business was appealing. Paul and I had a good rapport, and I was optimistic despite Glassdoor reviews. The final offer had low compensation and a weak commission structure, with equity to be determined later. No negotiation was allowed, and the recruiter was condescending when I didn't accept immediately.

The interview process was very quick. After submitting my resume, I got an immediate email from Mr. Bell. He set up a short phone interview with me. Following that, I had a second interview with the manager in New York, which was also brief. I was expecting the second interview to be technical, but it wasn't. Then I had to complete a personality test. After the personality test, I heard nothing back, despite sending multiple emails. It was quite rude not to receive any response, even if it was to say I didn't get the job.
