I applied for this role and was automatically rejected before an interview stage, even though my CV closely matched the job requirements. The rejection email asked for feedback or questions, so I replied asking for insight into the decision, but got no response. This isn't the first time I've applied to Human8 roles where my experience seemed to be a good fit, only to be automatically rejected. It seems like they use a flawed AI screening system or an ineffective HR process, or both. If you're thinking of applying, don't waste your time customizing your application. Their low Glassdoor score of 2.8 suggests they don't treat candidates well, which probably extends to employees too.

Behavioral Technical Case Presentation

The interview process was quite long, stretching over two months. It started with an HR screening, followed by a business case. Then I had to present this business case to two senior managers. After that, I interviewed with two directors. The very last interview felt like a casual chat, where they implied I already had the job and asked about my availability to start. But then, I was ghosted. I had to reach out to the recruiter for an update and found out they were actually seeking a more junior candidate. It's frustrating to learn this only at the very end of such a long process, which reflects poorly on the company's professionalism and respect for candidates.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • The screening interview is informal.
  • The business case is technical, focusing on the reasoning behind your answer.
  • During the interview with the directors, they asked behavioral questions using games, which felt unnecessarily long, lasting almost an hour.

Behavioral Case Technical

First, you'll have an HR chat to see if you fit with the company culture and to check your general skills and motivations. They'll ask about your past work, your good and bad points, and how they match what the company wants and what the job needs. Then, a case interview is next. You'll get a real business problem to solve. This part checks how you solve problems, your analysis skills, and how you handle tough situations. You need to look at data, suggest strategies, and show what you found. Lastly, you'll interview with a partner. This is usually the hardest part. It's where they really dig into what you know, see if you can think strategically, and figure out if you'd be a good leader and fit with the company's direction.

Behavioral Case Presentation

First up was a half hour phone call with the HR recruiter, where they asked about my CV and research experience. Then, the second round involved presenting a business case, which felt like it lasted about an hour and a half. A few days prior, HR sent over a case study focusing on designing a study or survey to figure out why customers are buying less and what's driving it, along with some extra tasks like data interpretation. I had to present my solutions and answer questions on that. The third round was a meeting with my potential future colleagues. It was more informal, a chance for the team to get to know me and for me to ask about the job. If you have prior experience with research, data interpretation, and developing surveys, it shouldn't be too hard, but honestly, it takes way too much time. The pay is really low, almost insultingly so given the skills they expect. So, think carefully before applying, especially about investing time in the case study round since it's uncompensated.
