Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Human Rights Campaign.
Associate Director
The interview process was good. I had a phone screen, then interviewed with the recruitment lead and the hiring manager. After that, there was a brief assessment for a panel interview. It was a great process, and their recruiting seems really well in order. It was quick and painless, much better than other interviews I’ve done, and all the questions were good.
- Can you tell me why you are interested in HRC?
- What are your thoughts on DEIB and why do you think it's important?
- Could you answer some questions about your specific software knowledge?
Senior Associate
The interview experience was friendly and very responsive, with clear answers to my questions. Unfortunately, I didn't get the job. It took them about 2 weeks to respond, but the other interviews moved quickly.
- Where do you envision yourself in the next five years?
Development Associate
Had one phone interview and then two in person. Everyone was really nice. I spoke with my direct supervisor on the phone, then met with HR in person, and finally met with the supervisor again in person.
- Can you tell me why you're interested in working at the HRC?
