I went through five interviews, all one-on-ones. They were pretty simple and conversational, mostly to see if I'd be a culture fit. The hiring manager interviews were a bit more detailed. The timeline was a little slow because they had multiple positions open, and HR took a bit to respond, but they eventually did. Overall, it was a good experience.

I applied online and reached out to the recruiter on LinkedIn. We scheduled a brief phone interview for the next day. Then, I had three separate video interviews: one with the team manager, another with a team member, and a final one with the HR representative for the department. After they extended an offer, a rigorous background check was initiated through a third-party company. Once that was cleared, I was good to give my notice at my current job.

Had a virtual interview that was about 30-35 minutes with the HR executive. They asked a lot of questions about my past work history and my different skills because the role wasn't a standard admin position. The interviewer was nice and clear about what the job involved. I was a bit late to start because I didn't get the meeting details on time, but the interviewer said it was okay and wouldn't hurt my chances. It seemed like a place where you can ask questions freely and they don't have a lot of meetings about performance since they trust you to do your job. The interviewer did hint that they wanted to move forward with me. Later, my recruiter told me, "She felt this would not be the right type of role for you or what she is looking for," which was confusing since the interview felt positive. I was surprised because at the end, the interviewer asked, "how soon you start?" It's not professional to mislead candidates and they could have just not asked about my availability. The interviewer also mentioned that there were chances to grow in the company and get training for other jobs.

I interviewed in February 2018 at the Hudson Insurance office in New York. The interview was just going over my skills and my resume. After the interview, the person told me that the HR from OdysseyRe would be sending me an email if I made it to the next round or not. It has now been 8 week and I never got an email. To make matters worse, I actually emailed both the person who interviewed me, and the HR (three times), as to if they had any update on my application (Which they both ignored).
