First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Hudson.
Store Associate
My interview for the Specialty Sales Associate role at Hudson in Charleston International Airport was pretty relaxed. The interviewer asked some good basic questions, like who my role models were and about times when coworkers claimed credit for my work. The job details mention Hudson offers good pay and benefits, like medical, dental, and vision insurance, plus employee discounts and referral bonuses. The job sounds busy, involving stocking shelves and giving customers great service. They also mentioned teamwork and flexible scheduling, pointing to a supportive environment focused on store goals and a good customer experience. I have a good feeling about it and would like to join Hudson as a Specialty Sales Associate, helping the team succeed and grow.
- Who is someone you admire and what makes them admirable?
Recruitment Consultant
The interview process moved quickly and efficiently. There were three interview rounds, all conducted in person. I felt this might have been a bit much. I had the chance to meet some of the team and see the office space, which has impressive views and a positive culture.
- What strategies would you employ to acquire new clients when starting with a "cold desk" (no existing leads)?
Analyst
The whole process was quite quick, and I don't recall much of it. However, I had a good feeling about the interviewer and the interview environment. I would definitely recommend this interview.
- The interview went well and was acceptable.
Marketing Design Assistant
I had a quick phone interview where they asked about my past work. Then, I was set up for an in-person interview, supposedly with the CEO. The phone interviewer was nice, but seemed rushed when scheduling. They mentioned everyone gets commission except for this role. The in-person interview was with someone else, who seemed a bit annoyed. They asked about my previous experience again, so I showed them my portfolio and digital samples. The questions were similar to the phone interview. When I gave an estimate for a project, they didn't like it and said it was 'concerning,' wanting to end the interview. I mentioned the previous employee's sample work looked unprofessional because it wasn't done with much care, and they agreed. I was eager to leave, feeling like the company mistreats employees and doesn't understand the work involved.
- What is your estimated timeline for completing this type of work?
