Behavioral Presentation

This was actually my first interview where I didn't already personally know the person who was interviewing me, so I was pretty nervous and not sure what to expect. Their communication was top notch and I felt like there were clear expectations regarding the process. Everyone on the interviews were personable and easy to talk to. The first round was an interview with the manager of the specific sales team and the second round was a project where I presented a sales pitch to a team.

The whole thing took about 3 weeks. I was really keen to join Hudl because they have a great culture, it's an easy product to sell, the people are passionate, they have a solid development plan, and they're a big name in the industry. However, their hiring process was pretty questionable. I first contacted the recruiter at the start of the school year and was told to check back later in the semester. I did a quick phone screen with the recruiter, then had a one-on-one Zoom with a sales manager. The interview went well, and at the end, they mentioned flying me out to Nebraska for a panel interview with the sales team, to work on a 30-60-90 day plan, and to connect with the recruiter about next steps. The following week, the recruiter emailed saying they weren't moving forward because they'd found some strong candidates. Confused, I ignored the email and messaged the sales manager, reiterating my interest and asking to schedule the trip out sooner, thinking it was just a procedural thing. No response from them. As a new applicant, I wanted feedback to improve, but I was told, 'Unfortunately, we are unable to disclose any information related to hiring decisions. I appreciate your understanding.' Overall, it felt unprofessional and shady.

So, there were three interviews. First, I chatted with HR. Then, I met with a sales manager. Finally, I had a group interview with some sales managers. They asked a mix of questions about my background and experience, plus some scenario-based sales questions.
