It was a super enjoyable interview, I really connected well with the interviewers and they were very polite and respectful. The questions asked were straightforward and they were helpful with clarifying my questions. Overall, I'd say the interview was a good experience.

Got contacted by a recruiter who said my salary expectations were too high, but I decided to continue anyway. Then there was a secondary interview with behavioral questions, which went well. After that, I had a take-home project. I then reviewed my project with other QA Engineers. The questions asked during this review weren't well-prepared. They also mentioned I should have received an email for the second half of the interview, but I never got it. The feedback I got was that I used too much tech jargon and that my answers went over their heads, even though they said yes when I asked if they understood. I think this company is too junior for someone with my experience, and the pay doesn't match the expected work.

I first talked to an outside recruiter, and after they thought I was a good fit, I spoke with an internal HR person. After a quick chat about my background with HR, I waited almost two weeks to hear that I'd advanced. The outside recruiter was pushing for answers but wasn't getting any. Eventually, I was set up for a Skype interview with the QA manager and two current QA team members, which went really well. Then, I was asked to do a project testing a part of the site, taking a couple of hours. After another two-day wait with the recruiter asking for updates, I had a second Skype interview with the QA manager and two more analysts, which also seemed to go well. This was followed by another project, similar in time commitment to the first. About a week later, they invited me for a final round of interviews with multiple teams in Nebraska, covering two days. The office environment was modern and energetic. The interviews themselves seemed to go great. Upon returning home, I was informed I didn't get the job. Despite feeling qualified and having good interviews, I understand it's a possibility. Getting feedback on why took several emails and a week, resulting in a very brief explanation. The external recruiter mentioned similar experiences and was ending their relationship with Hudl after my rejection. The overall communication from Hudl was quite lacking.
