I had 5 interview rounds, the last one was onsite. I loved the product and confirmed it was for wearables, not cameras. I got the offer and accepted it, agreeing on the contract and submitting the documents. Later, I had an additional chat with the VP of Product, which turned out to be an interview where I was asked about my experience. The recruiter then called to say they were retracting the offer because the position was filled internally. I had declined another offer because I was sure about joining Hudl, and I'm glad I didn't give my notice at my current job.

The interview process started with a phone screen from the hiring manager. This was followed by a panel interview a week later with two individuals at the same level as the role. Finally, there was a skip-level interview. It appears there might be some internal politics surrounding this role and its reporting structure, as it doesn't report to the CPO, who seems unhappy about it. This situation could be a challenge for whoever takes the role, and it might explain why the position has been open for over six months.

The interview process spanned about 6 weeks, mostly due to scheduling. It started with a recruiter call focusing on screening, culture, and role fit. Then, a video interview with two product managers where I presented a past project (concept to launch) for 5 minutes. They asked about my process, thinking, strategic links, and metrics, followed by a project prioritization exercise and Q&A. The final stage was a half-day in-person interview at the Lincoln HQ. This included an office tour, meetings with Dev & QA, UX & Design, and other PMs, involving scenario-based questions in a round-robin format. The day concluded with a mock user interview with team members and executives. Even though it's intense, the extensive interaction helps understand the culture and operations. I enjoyed it, felt welcomed by everyone, and the company values seem genuinely integrated into daily work. Great benefits, and a strong product management organization.
