Got reached out to by Erika on LinkedIn, didn't apply. Had a Zoom call to learn more about the role, which was recorded. The conversation felt really dry and impersonal. She started by asking about me, and only at the last minute did she share details about the role. It's a team of 10 reps, mostly a hunting role, using AI in CRM. The first call involves full discovery to pinpoint challenges, then a tailored product demo, followed by pricing negotiations. The average buy cycle is 20 days, with an expectation of $80k in revenue per month. It's a growth org with 4 levels; level 2 is for experienced closers, needing to hit 100% of quota to move to level 3. You get a mentor from day 1, and the role is fully remote. Training requires flying out to HQ. Sales kick-off is in April. You ramp up, hitting 30% of quota in month 3, and 100% by month 12. The target is $146,000, with a $72,000 commission on top of a $74,000 base. I was rejected the same day with no feedback. This company honestly seems like you're just a number based on my one conversation with their recruitment team.

The recruiter set me up with a hiring manager interview and gave me questions to prep for, but then none of those came up, which threw me off. They gave me some weird feedback later about not answering a question the exact way they wanted, which they said was why I didn't get the job. They did say I did well otherwise though. I reapplied and got rejected right away. What a joke of a company and recruiting team.

Had an initial phone interview. They followed up really quickly after I sent my cover letter and resume. A recruitment employee from Hubspot introduced the sales team structure in Australia. It's very strict and account-based, you have to stick to the assigned list. Then they asked why I applied and about my current sales methods. Also, they don't sponsor account managers in Australia on a 482 short-term visa.
