The interview involved about 8 people attending an online session together. Initially, each person was asked to give a self-introduction and highlight their strengths relevant to the job. Following these introductions, the interviewer posed follow-up questions based on the individual responses. At the end, candidates had the opportunity to ask their own questions.
- About 8 people took the online interview together, firstly everyone should do a self-introduction and share one's advantage about the job, and the interviewer will ask some follow-up questions based on one's answer. Finally the interviewee can ask the interviewer questions.
Investment Banking Intern
I saw on a WeChat public account that they were recruiting interns. After I applied, they called me the day before the interview to ask some general questions. On the interview day, I had interviews with the manager and a senior leader.
- Can you tell me about your academic background at university?
- How would you describe your English language skills?
- Please discuss your past internship experiences.
Intern
They had some writing tests, including SHL, and then interviews by the department. The writing tests were kind of like the CFA Level 1, and the SHL test was standard, like what you'd see at the Big 4. The interviews were of average difficulty, not too many technical questions.
- Discuss current technological trends within the wealth management sector.
