Showroom Manager
The interview process at HSL Chairs was thorough and well organised, with three clear stages. Each stage felt supportive and well thought out, and every interaction genuinely increased my desire to work for the company. The recruitment team were excellent throughout, keeping in constant contact, setting clear expectations, and making the whole process feel transparent and engaging. I felt valued as a candidate at every stage and appreciated how professional and approachable everyone was. Overall, a very positive experience that reflects well on HSL’s culture and values.
- What specifically about HSL interests you and what aspects of our company caught your attention?
Sales Assistant
Submitted an online application with online questions. HR Department contacted me with an interview date via email, and I had to confirm via email to accept the slot. I was interviewed by both the new stores manager and the regional area manager. They called me the next day by phone and offered me the position. I was told about a training academy that I must attend, and all travel and hotel expenses are paid by head office.
- Have you hit sales targets in previous roles?
- Would you be able to attend a week-long training academy?
- What are your available working hours, given the need for flexibility from Monday to Saturday 9 am to 5 pm and Sundays 10 am to 4 pm?
Comfort Specialist
The interview lasted about 30 minutes, and I was interviewed by the team leader and area manager. They were both very nice and made me feel comfortable right away. I was offered a cappuccino. The questions weren't too difficult; they were more focused on my personality.
- Can you share an instance where you dealt with a challenging customer and how you handled it?
Comfort Specialist
They asked me about my past jobs and personality. Then, we mostly talked about the company and the people working in the shops. They also asked about my preferred working hours and if I was okay with working weekends.
- Can you tell me about instances where you declined to make a sale to a customer?
