First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at HSE Contractors Inc..
Business Development Manager
The interview was pretty straightforward and organized. First, there was an HR chat where they wanted to know about my background, experience, and how I communicate. After that, I had a technical and strategic chat with the management team. They wanted to discuss market development strategies, negotiation skills, and some examples of managing client relationships. The questions were professional and related to actual work, so it felt like a challenging but fair interview.
- How would you go about finding and ranking new business chances in a tough market?
- What strategies do you use for market development?
- Tell me about your negotiation skills.
Accountant
The hiring journey was straightforward. It kicked off with a brief chat with HR about my background, work history, and salary desires. Then, I had a technical interview with the finance manager. They asked about accounting basics, making journal entries, reconciling accounts, and using Excel and accounting software. The manager also posed situational questions regarding managing deadlines and ensuring accuracy in financial reports. The whole thing felt professional and respectful, and they were quick to communicate.
- How do you make sure your monthly financial statements are accurate and consistent?
Planning Engineer
The interview process was quite smooth. After I sent in my CV, the HR person got in touch to chat about my background, what salary I was looking for, and when I could start. Then, I had a technical interview with the IT head where we talked about infrastructure planning, data security, and cloud migration. They also asked some 'what if' questions about managing a small IT team and sorting out problems when things get hectic. The last chat was with the senior management, which was more about how well I communicate and if I'd be a good fit leadership-wise. Everyone was really nice and upfront, and they let me know how I did after each part pretty quickly.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Senior Planning Engineer
They interviewed me twice. The first time, they said my language wasn't good, which I later found out was just an excuse to avoid paying the third-party recruiter. After about two months, they called me back for the final interview and to extend an offer.
- Can you describe the primary activities involved in building?
- Regarding drainage installation, is it typically done from bottom to top or the other way around?
- Could you tell me a bit about yourself?
